The University of New Mexico, Office of the University Controller, also known as Financial Services, located on Main Campus is responsible for all central accounting functions for the University.
It is the responsibility of the Controller's Office to ensure compliance with all financial policies, rules, and regulations adopted by the University or imposed by external agencies, including state and federal audit requirements, following generally accepted accounting practices. Additionally, the Organization oversees the maintenance of the official financial records of the University.

University Services is responsible for several important service functions across the University of New Mexico Campus. Departments include: Mailing/Shipping & Receiving, Surplus Property, Copy Center, Print Management & Records Management. University Services is growing and during this exciting time of expansion, the organization is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and flexible professional to serve as the first point of contact for front-desk reception area as an Administrative Assistant III.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a professional and positive attitude, can multitask, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a very busy environment. The successful candidate will interact with a diverse community on a wide range of issues, including organizing and facilitating meetings and special events, and resolving problems and inquiries as needed.
Position duties include:
Providing prompt and professional customer service to UNM faculty, staff, students and external vendors and customers.
Assisting and directing customers by phone, email and walk-in, scheduling appointments for campus and assisting with any operational needs. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide end-user assistance with LoboMart, Chrome River, LoboTime and Banner as needed.
Providing daily fiscal/administrative support to the department. Some financial tasks include payroll entry, supply order and payment processing. Other tasks include entering data, financial queries, and reports.
* This position is on-site M-F.
Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's education, experience, and qualifications.

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
